Registration Deadline (11U-14U)
The registration window will close on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023. Teams that submit applications after this cutoff date are not assured acceptance and may be subject to late fees.
Venue Information
NJYS will host the semifinal and final matches at a neutral location. Teams will receive home and away designations for the Rounds of 64, 32, 16, and quarterfinals. During these rounds, the home team is responsible for arranging a suitable venue and securing referees.
Flighting Appeal Update
The appeals process for participating in a different State Cup competition than initially flighted (e.g., Challenge Cup, Presidents Cup, or NCS) for the Fall 2023 competitions is now closed. Decisions regarding flighting appeals will be communicated by Wednesday, August 30th.
The National Championship Series is the peak of youth soccer, allowing winners from all states to showcase their skills against the nation’s best while emphasizing teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. NJYS State Cup champions aged 12U and above move on to the 2024 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championships.

Rules
Rule 104 – Venue Selection:
a. NJYS will select venues for the NJYS State Cups semi-finals and finals unless otherwise communicated;
b. All other rounds will be played following a home and away format with NJYS determining those designations each round;
c. The designated home team is responsible for securing a field and referees through a designated NJYS Referee Assignor in their area.
Rule 105 – Application and Registration:
a. Teams that meet the eligibility criteria defined in this document may apply for the NJYS State Cups competition;
b. Applications can be completed and submitted by club personnel or teams through the NJ Youth Soccer tournament management software;
c. The appropriate entry fee must be received by NJYS before the published deadline for the application to be accepted, or a team may incur potential penalties.
Rule 106 – Team Eligibility:
a. Only Travel teams are eligible to participate in NJYS State Cups;
b. Teams must compete in an approved league during the current seasonal year in a US Youth Soccer affiliated league. 19U teams may compete without a qualifying league with NJYS’s written consent;
c. A team must make a good faith effort to complete their entire league schedule;
