Our children today are so active and restless that many parents often wonder where to channel their endless energy to use it for peaceful purposes.
The answer is, of course, sports! Fortunately, sports for children today are so diverse that it is not difficult to do it – at any school there is a huge variety of sports sections, and about houses of additional education and much less about private clubs is out of the question.

Giving a child in a sports club, you not only keep his spirits and body, but also teach him self-control, discipline, and, of course, make his body stronger and healthier.
After all, according to statistics, children who are actively involved in sports, get sick less, suffer less cardiovascular disease, do not have extra weight and spinal problems. Such children are more active, sociable and always in a positive mood. They are busy, get along perfectly in a team and are less likely to face problems of an interpersonal nature.

So what are team sports?

These are soccer, hockey, basketball, volleyball, and the like. They are great for sociable and very active child.
If your baby, on the contrary, too cramped and shy – it will develop in him a certain sociability, because they all require activity, mobility, as well as understanding and trust the team. Cohesion, a sense of personal responsibility and mutual support – the components of any of these sports.

However, if the future athlete has an ulcer, flat feet, have problems with the spine, he suffers from myopia or bronchial asthma, you should not attend such classes. It is better to pay attention to other sports for children.
Keep in mind that kids from about 4 years of age are allowed to join a hockey team. You can play soccer from 6 to 7 years old. And basketball and volleyball may only be played at the age of 8.

Now let me tell you about individual sports.

Any of the sports described in detail below teaches children discipline, teaches them independent activity and develops in them a sense of responsibility, inner motivation and a serious attitude.

Swimming. There are no contraindications to swimming lessons, other than open wounds, skin diseases and eye problems. So you can send almost all children to swimming, and going to the pool is useful even for infants. Swimming sections are attended by children from 3-4 years old. Swimming will harden your child, develop posture and strengthen muscles. Swimming is very useful for children with full body and those who have scoliosis and even diabetes.

Martial arts. Such sections as: karate, wushu, sambo, Greco-Roman wrestling, hand-to-hand fighting and similar types of combat are quite common among boys and even girls. The ability to stand up for themselves and protect a friend – things are always valuable and relevant. All martial arts excellently develop a child’s reaction, increase his self-esteem, responsibility, physically and spiritually improve him.

Dance. This sport is very diverse and includes a huge number of different areas, ranging from folk dances and ending with aerobics and break. All of them develop a correct and beautiful posture, coordination of movements and flexibility. In addition, they discipline, help children to rally and find new friends in their interests.

Gymnastics. Just like acrobatics, a very beautiful and popular sport, especially among girls. Such classes make their posture correct and their movements graceful. Work with children in these sections begins with 4 years. But children with myopia and scoliosis should not do gymnastics.

Athletics. What kinds of sports for children to choose, if they do not stand still for a second, and constantly rushing and jumping? Perhaps these children will be interested in athletics. This can be distance running, race walking, long jumping or high jumping, and even javelin, hammer or discus throwing.

Big tennis. Probably on a par with equestrianism – this is the most fashionable sport today. Tennis affects the development of reaction, to improve coordination, agility and endurance. It improves the respiratory system, and strengthens all the muscles of a child.

Skiing. In addition to skiing in the traditional sense, quite common are alpine skiing, snowboarding, as well as ski jumping. Take in such sections of children starting at 10 years of age, but on conventional skis children can get up in 2-3 years.

Figure skating. This favorite sport for many excellent effect on the formation of the musculoskeletal system, quite strongly increases the endurance of children and excellent effect on the performance of their body.

Absolutely all sports for children are useful for their physical development as well as for their spiritual and psychological education. Of course, the choice of a sports section for a child is influenced by the capabilities of the parents and the availability of a particular section in the city where he or she lives.
